Visiting researchers: Plant ecology, Soil Biology, Agroforestry, So=
cioeconomy or Plant Protection. Required two researchers on a full-time pos=
iton for the Master's Program in Agroecology at the Maranhao State Universi=
ty (Universidade Estadual do Maranhao) in Norheastern Brazil. Appointment i=
s for 12 months, renewable, and duties include teaching (about 40%) and res=
earch (about 60 %). Contribute to an interdisciplinary team working on a =
program of reasearch seeking the sustainable agricultural development of th=
e Maranhao State. The candidate must posses good communication skills and =
the ability and motivation to develop a strong independent research progra=
m, and must also hold a Ph.D degree in areas related to the program. Net i=
ncome, paid in local curency, is equivalent to about US $ 40.000/year, bas=
