I am a graduate student at Tufts University who is working on the Chefs
Collaborative:2000 project with Oldways Preservation and Exchange Trust
in Boston. This project hopes to connect food producers, chefs,
distributors, schools, and government together in an effort to preserve
farmland as well as cultural culinary diversity.
The project that I am involved with hopes to develope a resource guide to
assist others in the formation of local collaborative directories, and a
guide for organizing a tasting event. If you have knowledge of a local
directory, or plans to develop one, any information regarding these
efforts would be appreciated. In addition, if you have experience in the
coordination of a tasting event, this would also be of use to the project.
