Downside of Canola

I am compiling a literature search on Canola and I've found a lot of
information on the production and economics of the crop. A lot of
glowing accounts of its future, etc. To balance this, I would also like to
have information related to the downside of growing Canola. I've
heard that it is very hard on the soil, is this true?

I would appreciate any references or information on this aspect of
Canola production. Thanks and if any one would like a copy of my
