Folks,
I wanted to let you know that the California Rare Fruit Growers association has
just opened up a Worldwide Web site. It is:
http://www.crfg.org
The web site is not as full of information as I'd like, but there is an index
to back issues of the club magazine, and a few excerpts from the group's
publications.
The CRFG is one of the best-organized plant enthusiast clubs I have ever
belonged to. Its magazine is very informative, well-produced, and loaded with
practical how-to information. I think it's great fun to read about growing
things like cherimoyas and pink-fleshed apples and jujubes, even if the weather
here is just a tad too cold for many of the plants they cover (the membership
seems to be centered in southern California).
If you're interested in growing unusual fruit in a Mediterranean climate area,
the CRFG is a great resource.
