Agribusiness Information Researcher

If you have a strong business or economics background combined with an
interest in agriculture, agribusiness or food processing and marketing
and want to gain experience working on the Internet and with on-line
information retrieval, then we have a job for you!

agAccess Information Service is a fast-growing research and consulting
company serving a global clientele of farmers, ag consultants, grower
associations, agribusinesses, the food industry and many other sectors.

The job offers flexible work hours and days. Researchers work either
full time or part time or on an on-call basis as projects come in.
Researchers must commit to seeing projects completed quickly and
accurately.

Training with on-line and other research facilities is provided. This is
an exceptional opportunity to gain experience with a wide variety of
business plan and market trend analysis techniques.

Job Description:
Researchers work as a team to conduct background research for market
studies, business plans and technical reports. Duties include library
research, phone surveying, organizing data, tracking down references,
writing reports and business plans.

Requirements:
AIS Information Researchers must have excellent written and verbal
communication skills and must be proficient on Macintosh computers.
Familiarity with the UCD library system is essential. Graduate-level
studies in business-related fields preferred, but not required. On-line
database retrieval skills and familiarity with the Internet, Dialog and
other on-line services are desirable, but not required. Demonstrated
organizational and time management skills are a must for the position.

$8-12 per hour
