What about the nice quarantine pests in the four pests categories. fruit flies,seed weevils,stem weevils and seed moths. Just recently in Ventura Country they sprayed over and over just because they found a few flyby. If they find one fly they will spray everything for months and they will quarantine our fruit so as to stop us from selling it. Organic farmers were ruin,people were sprayed and everything they own outside was sprayed with pesticide to make sure not even one fly lived. I don't sell many avocados but worry about being sprayed and feel that the quarantine of Mexican Avocados was helping keep down pests. I know a lot of farmers are being put out of business by a mite now that comes from Mexico. The mite has moved from SD to Santa Barbara and has been a real plague. I hope this is not a sign of things to come.
