Does anyone have specific information on internship opportunities on
farms? Either contact organizations or farmers/ranchers who have or
would take on a student from South Africa?

Here are the details:

I have been contacted, through an American sponsor, by an individual from
South Africa who is interested in "programs that would allow me to study
and experience farming and farm management in the US 'hands on' if such a
program exists." This gentleman is 23 years old, has a 'senior
certificate' from the Tweespruit Agricultural School, studied crop
farming, stock farming, game ranching, field husbandry and animal
husbandry.

Cobus Charles Wille is willing to work on a farm (for free, and he can
pay his own room and board, if necessary, will get himself here, etc.).
He and his sponsor will work out details getting Visa.

Please address your replies TO ME (not sanet), *or* TO his US Sponsor:

I have already sent "Educational and Training Opportunities in
Sustainable Agriculture (Jane Gates, AFSIC), and a listing of National
and State Organic Certification Organizations (some of which sponsor
interns). Please let us know of any other opportunities out there.

Thanks,
