Now I'm seeking statistics on organic agriculture: just simple numbers
such as how many certified organic farms are there in the US and in the
Northeast states? What is the value of their products? What are their
balance sheets like? What are their principle crops? What are the
demographics of organic farm operators?
ANY information is helpful. I'm interning with the Northeast Sustainable
Agriculture Working Group, compiling data to compare conventional farming
and organic farming in the Northeast with those in the country as a whole.
I've seen the 1993 report put out by OFRF; unfortunately it doesn't
answer many of my questions.
