Dear SANETers

A group of concerned people of Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, and
other institutions are interested in studying and developing alternative
approaches to sustainable, equitable and just development of Kutchh, in
Gujarath in India. (Kutchh is adryland/desert region of India)This is being
done in conjunction with an active and resourceful group of public spirited
individuals of Kutchh origin in Bombay. A resource center is proposed to
be developed at IIT Bombay so that those interested can use their
expertise to help the above efforts.

You are therefore requested to send any material(or bibliography thereof)
including books/maps/articles/videos regarding the region or the
technologies appropriate for the region (eg. Desalination plants, Use of
available minerals, Date farming, technics for fighting salinity ingress
in land etc..)and the list of willing resource people.

Thanking you
Regi.
