CORNELL COOPERATIVE EXTENSION POSITION ANNOUNCEMENTS

PA#25 AGRICULTURE TEAM LEADER
Location: Monroe County, Rochester, NY

Provide professional leadership in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of effective and dynamic programs in the area of Food and Agriculture, as an integral part of the total educational effort of the Monroe County Cornell Cooperative Extension A
ssociation. Included in this emphasis is participation on program management teams for area vegetable; fruit; and dairy, livestock, & field crops programs. In addition to overall program leadership, responsible for programming in the area of Agriculture C
ommunity Issues, including solid waste management, leadership development, land use planning, and environmental/water quality. Work as a member of the County Program Team in the development of a well-integrated, over-all Cooperative Extension program. Ef
fectively utilize the agriculture and other advisory committees, Cornell advisors, staff, and supervisors in the visualizing, planning, conducting, and evaluating of educational programs. Responsible for effective management and accountability of resource
s available to the issue area. Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree with at least one degree in the subject matter area of agriculture/horticulture. Coursework in adult/community education, organizational development, business/management, land use plan
ning, communications and/or environmental studies desired. Five years experience in an educational/training/technical assistance role within the agricultural sector is required, preferably with Cooperative Extension or a similar setting providing communit
y-based educational programming. Experience with program management, community development and media desired. Salary: $33,300. Apply by June 15, 1995.
