Organic farmers in Sweden are interrested in growing "turnip rape"
(brassica rapa L. oleifera DC.) for oilproduction. Can anyone tell me how
they should behave to avoid getting problems with rapeplants as a weed in
forthcoming crops? Another major problem is the pollen beetles (meligethes
aeneus F.). The idea is to wintersow earlyflowering turnip rape so that
the crop has passed the sensitive stages when the beetles wake up.
Experience of this?
