Hi Everyone-

If you need to get in touch with ILSR here in Minnesota my contact info is
below. I have been working with David Morris here in Minnesota over the last 3
years. Our Carbohydrate Economy project which looks at replacing petrochemicals
and industrial materials with plant matter-based materials and chemicals is
housed here in Minneapolis.

Tom, thanks for the kind words about the work that we are doing. If I remember
correctly, you worked with David some time ago? I have an electronic version of
of our publications catalogue and general information about ILSR that I can send
people who are interested. I also write a newsletter called Sustainable
Minnesota on behalf of Minnesotans for an Energy-Efficient Economy which looks
at sustainable energy policy issues in Minnesota. The newsletter is also
available electronically from me and CREST keeps it archived at their Solstice
WWW site http://solstice.crest.org/. Just search for Sustainable Minnesota and
you should find it.

In response to the remark of Mr. Lozier about the cost of the reports, I wonder
what an appropriate price would be? $1.00, $2.00, $4.00? His comment brings up
an interesting issue. Depending on what he does, $5-$15 plus a $0.32 stamp and
a $0.15 envelope might represent 15 minutes of his time. Is five bucks too much
to pay for a well respected study which might have taken a couple of months to
put together on the energetics involved in ethanol production? The report will
soon be put up in our soon to be accessible WWW site so that people can access
it for free. I don't have any problem with free information, but complaining
about $5 reports is a bit ridiculous.

John.
