Try the following recent article in the November-December,
1994 issue of the Journal of Soil and Water Conservation:

Kellog, et al. 1994. Highlights from the 1992 National Resources
Inventory. The Journal of Soil and Water Conservaiton,
49(6)521-527.

The National Resources Inventory assesses land use and soil
erosion in the US every 5 years. This
article provides comparision to previous years. Soil erosion is
down, largely due to CRP and adoption of conservation tillage.

You can probably get the raw data from the Natural Resources
Conservation Service.
