Hello,
I would be interested in trying out a computer program specially designed
for organic farming. I have two versions of farm software now and I can't use
them at all because they seem to be for huge agribusiness with lots of
chemical inputs.
Although I am not very computer literate when it comes to programming, some
of the things that I think would be useful are . . .

1) A graphical picture that would keep track of field histories year after
year, showing you what you had in your fields and where they were. In
addition to this, a field planner, which could help you decide what rotations
would be good to plant in future years.

2) A seed inventory form, keeping track of all the seeds you buy and from who
you've bought them from.

3) Inventory form of organic inputs used and also to keep track of the labels
and who you've bought them from.

4) An option that would allow you to print out your certification
application with all your current data already in place. My preferred format
would be the OCIA application.

5) Machinery & equipment maintainence records ???

6) Perhaps an accounting package similar to "Quicken," (which I use now for
my accounting).

7) Inventory of crops picked/sold/wasted with a chart showing
yields/profits/waste.

I would also have seperate software packages for animal records and crop
records or perhaps integrating them for those who had both types of income.

This is all that I can think of for now, Thanks for your time,
