Query: chemical-free meat

I am posting this query for a teacher in our Agronomy Dept. A group of
her students (freshmen/sophomore level) is looking for sources of info
on chemical-free meat from the standpoints of safety, scientific
info on production/consumption, social/political issues, etc. She says
review articles would be best, but will take any and all suggestions.
Here in our center we have quite a bit of material on BST (much of which
I've pulled from messages on SANET), so that one is pretty much covered.
