Panups double postings

Adam Kirshner at Panna suggests unsubscribing from Panups directly with
them in order to try to reduce the number of copies you receive. I'm
not sure this will work since the copies both come on sanet, not from an
individual subscription, but it may be worth a try.

Below is the text of my note to Adam and his reply; his email address is
at the bottom.

Re:
There's been some discussion on sanet in the last week about how we
get 2 copies of Panups each time it's sent out. This is particularly
inconvenient for people who pay for their time on line or for each
message. Could you help to fix this problem, or send out a message
explaining why it occurs?

Thanks,

Dear Margaret Christie,

I suspect that the reason you are getting two copies is because you are
somehow subsribed twice- although not directly through the panups
mailing list. Probably, you are subscribed to some conference or system
which is forwarding panups to you independently of us. Since it may
be difficult to unsubscribe from panups through an intermediary
without unsubscribing from whatever that whole system may be, I
recommend you unsubscribe directly from panups; then you can
contact me if you have some problem and do not receive it at all, but I
would guess that you will then only receive one copy. Please have
anyone who would like to unsubscribe from panups (so that they only
receive it through their indirect source) email me a message and I will
take them off our list.
Feel free to write me back if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
Adam Kirshner, PANNA Online Coordinator

P.S. You should probably email back to panna@igc.apc.org and not
paninfopubs if you have questions.
