*Toxic Releases From Multinational Corporations: Does the
Public Have a Right to Know?, 1994.* David Sarokin.
Describes the history of the Toxics Release Inventory (TRI)
and demonstrates how a survey modeled after the U.S. TRI sent
to 40 of the world's leading industrial companies resulted
in only six companies actually providing right-to-know
information by returning a completed survey. Includes the
responses of these six companies, including British
Petroleum, Dow Chemical Co., ICI, Monsanto and Union, Carbide
which reported a total of 7.1 million pounds of toxic
