The NOV/DEC issue of the Land Stewardship Letter is devoted to looking at
ways of using CRP ground in ways that protect the environment and put
people on the land. The cover story summarizes several studies that have
looked at the viability of doing management intensive grazing of dairy
and beef cattle on land currently in CRP. Some ways of encouraging these
uses when contracts expire are also examined and discussed. Anyone
interested in getting a copy of this issue can contact me through E-Mail,
earth mail or phone.
