A National Agricultural Ecosystem Management Conference has been announced
for the New Orleans, LA on December 12-15, 1995. The Conference is
co-sponsored by the Conservation Technology Information Center, the Natural
Resources Conservation Service and the U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency. A Wetland Management Workshop will precede the Conference with
details on the Workshop to be released later.
The intent of the Conference is to look at the inputs that are utilized by
agriculture management and the resulting impact on the environment in a
comprehensive manner. The main purpose is to put state of the art
technology and information into a usable format so that local and state
program managers, agrichemical dealers, consultants, farm managers and
others can develop local initiative from the information presented.
Abstracts are due January 15, 1995. Send the abstract on a single spaced 8
1/2 x 11" page and include name, title, affiliation, mailing address,
telephone number and fax number. Accepted abstracts will be notified by
February 15, 1995. Final papers for the Conference Proceedings will be
need to be submitted by May 1, 1995. Published Proceedings will be
distributed at the conference.
