Hi, I am a six grade student at Divine Mercy School in Merritt Island,
Florida. I am looking for help with my science research project. I read
that animals are given high doses of antibiotics to help them grow faster
and stay healthier before they go to slaughter. Last year I tested if
antibiotics injected into meat would denature when cooked. I found that
very little denaturing took place when the meat was cooked. This year I
would like to test for antibiotics in foods we eat. If the foods we eat do
contain antibiotics and they do not denature this could cause resistant
bacteria. Does anyone know of a way to test meats, eggs and milk for
antibiotics. Also I am looking for any articles or magizines that would
have any information about antibotics & animals. Any information will be
greatly appreciated. Since I am using my Dad's computer at home please send
all information to his e-mail address. Thank you for your time. Amber
