POSITION:

Education Coordinator for 12-state training project in
sustainable agriculture, located on the University of Nebraska-
Lincoln East Campus. This is a managerial/professional position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work with regional project leaders in planning all project
activities, organize and assist in conducting regional and state
workshops, evaluate a wide range of existing teaching materials,
work with educators in preparing new learning materials, maintain
roster of educators, organize other workshops, tours and training
sessions, provide grant budget oversight, draft/edit project
reports, work with faculty to develop proposals for funding
future training activities, and other project-related duties as
needed. Extensive travel within 12-state region (approx. 30%).

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required: B.S., preferably in agriculture or education related
field (M.S. preferred); three years related experience; excellent
written and oral communication skills; organizational skills;
computer literacy; driver's license. Preferred: knowledge of
Midwest/Plains agriculture and especially sustainable principles
and practices; on-farm experience; experience working with state
and federal government agencies; experience working with
Extension Service and agricultural non-profit organizations;
proposal development/grant writing experience; educational
material/curricular development experience.

SALARY:

Salary commensurate with experience. Grant funding for two
years, with potential for future grant funding.
