Alternative bug controls

Various bugs (spined citrus, and fruit spotting bugs) are a problem in tropical Queensland, Australia. In integrated programs, endosulfan is still used after bioenvironmental controls fail because it is not so toxic, residually, to bees and beneficials. Considering endosulfan's tox profile, something else would be better. Any suggestions?
