Cattle and cows are fed with fermented bran or rice germ with EM. And
they drink water with thinned EM. It changes the phase of their digestive
bacteria. So their manure has little odor. Farmers also spray thinned EM on
cattle manure and floor of the shed.
I visited some of these farms. I could find flies but very few. Odor
was slightest and cows and cattle were very calm. They were not irritated by
flies and looked very healthy.
Sorry I am not a farmer and do not have enough English vocabulary to
explain EM. But if you have a chance to come to Japan, I will introduce you
some EM dairy farms or feedlots. I wish some of you will explain the effect
of EM in English with scientific approach. Some Japanese seem to have mis-
promoted EM in the States.

In Japan, there are some contact addresses for EM but few people speak
English.
