you CAN'T make salsa without Cilantro, and Chili isn't chili without Comino!
Perhaps it should read North American cookbooks.

Not in Australia, it isn't. Coriander is used to describe the whole plant
and its products, and cilantro isn't used at all except by those familiar
with US cookbooks.
