Water and Sanitation Specialist
Peace Corps - Center for Field Assistance & Applied Research
Washington, D.C.

OPENING DATE: June 12, 2000
Closing Date: July 10, 2000

The Water and Sanitation Specialist serves the programming and training
needs of overseas posts. Specific responsibilities include: 1) promoting
and supporting innovative Water and Sanitation programming activities; 2)
providing on-going technical support to field staff; 2) coordinating with
the regional Programming & Training Advisor on the development &
implementation of regional strategies for Water and Sanitation; 3)
conducting short-term technical consultations on a variety of post,
sub-regional & regional activities; 4) designing and facilitating skills
building workshops for field staff; 5) providing programmatic input on the
negotiation and management of cooperative agreements with other agencies;
6) assisting with the interviewing and selection of overseas staff and
technical consultants.
Position requires up to 25% travel.
