U.S. Peace Corps, Washington, D.C., requests a quotation/proposal for a
contractor to conduct a review of literature and other information sources
that evaluates the options and potential for increased integration of woody
and herbaceous native and non-native leguminous plants into the farming
systems of Gabon and Cameroon. As a result of the evaluation, the
contractor will prepare a written document that will describe these options,
and that can be used as a training reference for Peace Corps Volunteers and
their counterparts and farmers with whom they work. The Government intends
to award this Request For Quotation (RFQ) as a firm fixed purchase order,
using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Award of this acquisition will be
base on the "Technical Evaluation Factors" and pricing. The "Technical
Evaluation Factors" are listed in the attached statement of work. The
period of performance for this acquisition is from July 17 through September
29, 2000. The contractor will be required to travel within the United
States. There is no international travel involved.
Any questions regarding this RFQ and the attached Statement of Work must be
sent to the attention of Janene Dyson and received by June 27, 2000.
Questions will not be accepted over the telephone. Must submit questions by
e-mail or fax as listed below. This is a combined synopsis and RFQ. A
written solicitation will not be issued. FAR Clause 52.213-4 will apply to
the purchase order resulting from this RFQ. All responsible parties must
submit quotations/proposals by 12:00pm, July 5, 2000, at the U.S. Peace
Corps, Attn: Janene Dyson, Contracting Officer, 1111 20th Street, NW, Room
4353, Washington, D.C. 20526. Quotations/proposals may be mailed or fax to
(202) 692-1641. Any quotations/proposals received after July 5, 2000,
12:00pm are considered late and will not be honored.
