Howdy, all--
Kate Smith shared this over on the IFFS list server, and I thought some of
you might enjoy it. It's the Iowa CornCam:
http://www.iowafarmer.com/corncam/corn.html
I thought that those of you might enjoy it who, like me, are banished from
the Green Realms at present, or who maybe just wanna compare stalk length
with your own. :^)
The image is updated every 15 minutes, and I'd guess that if the pesticide
nozzles were squirting at the time of the update, the CornCam would catch
it. ;^D
There are a few CowCams and GoatCams and suchlike cams on the Web. For example:
The Alloway, NJ, Cow Cam
www.accsyst.com/cow.html
And bunches of other animal cams; here's a nice selection of links:
http://re-quest.net/internet/web-cams/animals/index.htm
I've thought for some time that we in sustainable ag need to set some of
these buggers up. The Amazing Moving Fence Cam. The Watch Pasture Grow Cam.
The Market Garden Cam. The Compost Heap Cam. The Farmers Market Cam. The
Milking Parlor Cam.
Kudos and thanks to Jim and Sharon Greif for sharing their fields with us all.
peace
