I was reading some archival stuff (this by Steve Groff) on working
with rye cover and no-till. It was suggested that for planting into
cover, one may till up a strip to plant into, but may want to follow
that tillage with a 'residue remover.' This apparently is a custom
made implement.
As you can tell, my tractor savvy is about 'none.' My welding ability
is probably much less. Where could I buy such a tool for use on a JD
or where could I find a 'kit' for bolting one together?
AND, other than a potato fork, is there some practical way to
approach this residue removal by hand?
Thanks for your patience,
