Very interesting response Lawrence, I have never advocated nor used
roundup myself, I will let Steve speak for himself, I believe that he uses
some herbicides in a very limited way in his operation, I also know that
he has pioneered a method of no till that uses a mechanical method to
"roll down" cover crops pre-planting.

Organic used to be many things in our minds that it never was in reality.
Organic today does not adequately manifest organic principles primarily
due to advocates who did not understand the ideology that they were
advocating. No one has done more damage to the organic community
than the organic community. It is both a shame and shameful that so
called certified organic systems no longer have sustainability and a
healthy agroecosystem as goals. I watched as a bureaucratic list of
allowed and prohibited substances became the core of organic practice
and was appalled, I was even fool enough to try to stop it. Alas so go
so many of our youthful ideals.

Best,

Ted
