That cannot be emphasized too much! IMO, the need is for policy to
encourage responsible spreading of manure, although new technologies such as
low-phytate grains and phytin-degrading hogs might play a role too.
Making methane for sale by anaerobic digestion is technically feasible, but
until fuel costs go a lot higher it probably isn't economically viable.
