Regional Representative
United States

The Rodale Institute, a non-profit organization, and global leader in
regenerative agriculture, is seeking a dynamic, high energy, hands on person
with the ability to work in a faced paced environment. The Regional
Representative for the United States will be based at the Rodale Institute
Experimental Farm in Kutztown, PA and will report to the Director,
International Programs. The Regional Representative will oversee the
Institute's Program in the United States, will lead and help to
conceptualize the Rodale Institute Scientific Research activities, their
administration and management. The US Regional Representative will also
work closely with the Technical Director, other Regional Representatives, to
support The Rodale Institute's work in research, education and development,
outside the United States.

The Regional Representative will give high priority to conceptualizing,
developing and implementing practical, innovative, cutting edge,
regenerative agriculture research programs. These programs will consist of
activities aimed at expanding and applying research initiatives at the
general public and grass roots farmer level. Special emphasis will be given
to working with The Rodale Institute's staff that is responsible for the
development of education and training courses for farmers, extensionists and
farm advisors. The Regional Representative will also ensure that The Rodale
Institute's mission is well understood and respected, not only within the
scientific community, but also among the general public, especially
children. The Regional Representative will provide strong leadership in
ensuring the constant regeneration of the Institute's programs. Candidates
must have:
* Minimum five years of relevant experience
* Agriculture related technical background
* International development experience
* Strong management and leadership skills
* Ph.D. in agricultural sciences, business and administration, or
related fields.
* Research management experience
* Proven experience and expertise in project management (proposal
development and writing, execution, monitoring and evaluation)
* Resource mobilization experience
