CSA Learning Center
at Angelic Organics
IMMEDIATE OPPORTUNITY PLEASE POST
May, 2000
Dear Friends:
The CSA Learning Center at Angelic Organics, the partner non-profit to
the farm, is looking for up to two full-time learning
facilitators/farmer interns to join the staff team during the year 2000
season (May to October). There is a chance for continued employment in
the off-season depending on scheduled programs and resources.
This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in learning about
and spreading the word about community supported agriculture (CSAs),
organic and Biodynamic farming, ecology, local food systems, and other
related themes. We are looking for someone who likes working with
groups, is skilled in informal education, and has either knowledge or
experience in organic and/or Biodynamic farming.
Interns at the CSA Learning Center work 3/4 time with the educational
programs that provide learning opportunities to diverse urban kids,
adults and families, as well as CSA shareholders and a network of
regional farmer interns. The other 1/4 time is spent with hands-on
farming with the field crew -- seeding, growing, weeding, pruning,
harvesting, packing, and delivering the fabulous organic vegetables,
herbs and melons that go to more than 850 households in the Chicago and
Rockford areas.
If you are or know of someone who might be interested in this
opportunity, please contact me directly at the number or email listed
below.
Sincerely,
Tom Spaulding
