Just thought this group might like to know that we had on campus last week
Jennifer Washburn, the co-author of The Atlantic Monthly article titled "The
Kept University" (available at
http://www.theatlantic.com/cgi-bin/o/issues/2000/03/press.htm).
She said 98 percent of industry-funded studies reflect positively on the
product being researched. That figure for non-industry-funded studies is 79
percent.
