Dear John,
Thank you very much for directing me to the Whitney-Smith page. I did
indeed find it quite interesting and I was unaware of it. It is certainly a
fresh approach. My first doubt on reading your description was "but people
don't hunt predators" , at least not for food. But his arguments are
reasonable and, at first glance, the model seems feasible. Thank you again
for showing it to me and for your thoughtful comments.
