Re: Economics of organic farming

Greetings,

There has been a lot of interesting discussion recently regarding the right mix of crops,
plants, skills, labor, inputs, etc. of very small organic operations. I also wrote a
publication that was released last July at Friend of the Earth. The report is entitled -
Fair Agricultural Chemical Taxes: FACT and can be found on foe's wesite - www.foe.org/fact.
I cover a lot of territory in that report, including a section discussing the studies
comparing the org and conventional cropping systems. I referenced the studies I looked at
and that will help point you in the right direction. Good Luck! Valerie
