"Locally grown" is an excellent way of distinguishing food. I often use the
term to remind the folks who support me that my lamb is local rather than
frozen and from who knows where. It contributes to an identity we share in
being local.
As you know, though, large local producers also say they're local. The
advantage we small farmers have is the face to face contact we have with
people, and the opportunity to pleasantly tell them why we grow our food the
way we do.
