Howdy. Writing an article (roughly: new internet direct marketing
opportunities for small farmers) specifically: CSAs, Farmers Markets and
U-Picks - and I'm looking for some base-line statistics and information,
such as:
* the number of small scale produce growers nationally
* breakdown of crop types and volume
* total acreage represented by these farmers
* percentage of over-all market
* number who are either registered or certified organic, biodynamic
* profile or farmers available for profiles
* Any statistics about how many of these farmers are on-line or have access
to computers, or use computers for operations and/or marketing
