Ann,
Keep the lake waters well aerated with a fountain and pump. The
mosquitoes desire stagnant water. Avoid the electrostatic bug zappers as
these have been shown to kill far more beneficial insects than
mosquitoes. Organic Gardening did a piece on this recently (which I can
look up). There is a newer device out that won't harm the other insect
populations. I will look that up too but contacting Rodale or their
website might provide just what you need.
