Thanks for the information on garlic I've always heard removing the buds
early increased bulb size, but have never found any studies on it.
Following the thinking that it couldn't hurt, I've always removed them.
I found that I can sell the tops with buds as a "gourmet" item and make
some good money from them- enough to more than offset the labor. It took
some time to convince people to use them, but once they try them they
want more.
