I would to add that the US is more profit orientated while the EU is
more people orientated (at the moment)
The choices you talk about are not real choices, if for years the US
did not label GMO's, Irradiated (unclean produced) food, high
pesticide use on foods, the silence on pollution for economic
reasons. also think of nuclear problems, Agent orange related
problems or soldiers with healthproblems from Irac.
the powerfull US industrial lobby is the one with the choices.
