Here! Here! Chuck! I agree wholeheartedly with your comments. Right on track. I
just wish that a "News Program" that I've always respected as honest and forthcoming
would have given a more balanced interview.

It's like the exploding truck in reverse (Was that Prime Time Live, or Dateline?
Where they had to light the truck afire to get it to explode. . .). The industry (GM,
I think) sued and won. But that's one biog business against another, and it was years
in the court system (and only received headlines on opposing networks when the verdict
came in, with a short apology/explanation at the end of the news program.

In this case the truck underwhich the fire was lit was the organic products industry.
I think you are right that industry conglomerates are running scared.

Here's another completely different thing to think about. . . ABC is owned by Disney.
Is Disney in cahoots with the Agro chemicals industry? Making another jump (and this
one may make the conspiracy theorists in the group interested). . . Has anyone noticed
that MacDonalds Happy Meal toys are almost exclusively Disney Movie promotions? Is
Mickey D's owned by Disney as well? If so, that could be why conventional agriculture
will win out on ABC. (Think of all the GMO-french fries that MCD will have to "eat"
if anyone starts to think about them!)

That's my two cents worth (actually I'd like to vent about Avery, and Injustice, but
I'd be preachin' to the Choir, so i'll shut-up). . .Russ

(BTW, for those interested, I've finished my Ph.D., and have switched coasts and
research focuses). . .Russ
