Tenure Track Agroecologist Sought
The College of Arts & Sciences at Appalachian State University invites
applications for a tenure track position in Agroecology at the rank of
Assistant Professor to begin in August 2000. This individual will lead
the sustainable agriculture component of a Sustainable Development
Program in the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies. A completed
doctoral degree in an agronomic science with a through grounding in
ecology is required. Duties include undergraduate and graduate
teaching, research, and extension work in highland small farm and
permaculture systems, along with normal faculty service
responsibilities. The ability to work well with an interdisciplinary
faculty, students, citizens of rural communities, and non governmental
organizations is critical. Cross-cultural experience is preferred.
Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications. Send letter
