The Glen Valley Organic Farm Cooperative is a group of people committed to
preserving land for sustainable food production and community development.
We collectively own a 50 acre farm in Abbotsford District. 10 acres are
currently under cultivation and a further 25 acres is available for
improvement (cultivation, drainage) or pasturing livestock and making hay.
There are two large barns and some smaller outbuildings, a one acre apple
orchard, two greenhouses, a 150 square foot cooler and various farm
equipment. The large farmhouse will soon be converted into two smaller
suites so accommodation may be available.
There is potential to arrange a system of stacking leases on the farm.
Currently one farmer lives on GVOF and raises vegetables, eggs and manages
the property. There are opportunities for many types of production
including vegetables, berries, livestock, bees, greenhouse and processing.
If you are an energetic, self-motivated person dedicated to organic
agriculture and working with community, then you may be interested in
leasing land at GVOF. For more information on leasing land at Glen Valley,

the farm on a GVOFC Open House Day (see schedule in this newsletter) to
visit the farm and meet the Co-op members.
