RE: "Pasteurized" milk and Crohn's Disease

This is scientific garbage. If this were true then Crohn's would be more
common than allergies or the common cold in the UK.

The truth is closer to this: the weakened immune system and the altered
biochemistry of the gut of people with Crohn's disease provides a perfect
environment for the growth of the mycobacterium. Presence does not connote
pathogenicity.

Which then leads to the next question......would these people improve on raw
milk because of the natural enzymes?

For an article related to our current raw milk discussions, see below.
Apparently, even current practice is not safe enough. "The bug, an
organism known as MAP (Mycobacterium avium subspecies paratuberculosis), is
not completely killed by normal milk pasteurisation methods and is present
in people with Crohn's disease."

MICRO-ORGANISMS IN MILK CAUSE CROHN'S DISEASE

LONDON, UK, January 27, 2000 (ENS) - A bug present in retail pasteurised
milk in the UK causes Crohn's disease, a leading medical researcher at St
George's Medical School, London has found. The micro-organism is believed to
exist in up to 54 percent of the dairy herds in Western Europe and North
America.
