I know of very few farmers who are adding N for beans. However there are
a few
research reports and farmers stating that you can occasionally get a
response from N
but it
is not consistant.
I echo Joel's and "Son of Richard's" statement that beans do not give
back much
to the soil, but are very important for rotation effects and N
contribution.
