Assistant Professor in Agricultural Economics
McGill University's Department of Agricultural Economics invites
applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant Professor
level in the area of agribusiness management with a complementary area
of interest in environmental/resource economics.
Applicants should have a PhD in agricultural economics or a closely
related field with strong training in economic theory, and
quantitative methods. Teaching responsibilities will include
undergraduate courses in agribusiness management and
environmental/resource economics and a graduate course in their area
of expertise.
The successful candidate will be expected to develop an active
research program and to develop links with the McGill School of
Environment and the Faculty of Management. Knowledge of the French
language would be an asset.
The starting date for the position is August 1, 2000. The closing date
for applications is February 29, 2000 or until a suitable candidate is
found.
