Is it the rubber from car tires that contain heavy metals?Are the tires
manufactured with the metals in the rubber or do the tires pick it up from
the road (a waste product of gasoline combustion)? OK rubber particles in
soaker hoses are encapsulated by the polyethylene, but are particles of
rubber in car tires coated. Is rubber coming off the roads and washing into
fields and yards spreading heavy metals?
