Anti-government? Whose Government? YAK

I think Terry has a very good analysis of what has happened and will
continue to happen with the corporate control of the media and the success
of the "eithic of self-loathing" that has been foisted on us at least here
in the USA.

After all, WE are the government. Remember "of the people, by the people
and for the people". Now it is "of the corporate 'people', by the
corporate 'people' and for the corporate 'people' ". WHY do we fall for
the "hate your neighbor as yourself" routine?

Big money controls the government in the US, especially after the two party
system died in '96 with the corporate money control of both party's
campaign funding. The government has lost something very important - the
respect of those governed as I am afraid we may very well learn here in the
next couple days. Hugh's post illustrates the attitude of mistrust many of
us have in the veracity and fairness of our government.

We are almost 20 years into this revolution now. We have children grown to
adulthood with nothing but the attiude of me Me! ME!! and money at all
costs. Maybe it is poetic justice that the parents of those children who
led or at least acquiesced in the destruction of the spirit of community
will be the amoung the groups to suffer the consequences. Social Security
re or deform???

After all everyone who does not die young will get old and lose their grip
on the power needed to protect themselves from the very attitudes they
helped establish. I can hear it now "What have you old folks contribed to
my bottom line lately?" Like the W2 program in Wisconsin, will the new
government order include a 2 year time limit to become a "productive"
member of society?

Mike Miller, the proud owner of a new bag of catfood containing : poultry
by-product meal, beef and bone meal and "dried animal digest". (10,000
flies can't be wrong, your cat should eat ....) That was the Sustainable
Ag connection for this way off topic post :>))
