A biodiversity question

Is it true that there is greater biodiversity in a healthy temperate-zone
grassland ecosystem than in a healthy temperate-zone forest ecosystem,
taking into account the soil microbial community as well as higher-order life?

I've either read that or been told it by someone whose word I trusted, but
I've been challenged on the statement and now I'm not sure where I got it.
Can anybody help?
