At last, a mote of sanity within a sea doomsayers!
As a professional programmer, I thought it a no-brainer in the
mid-70's there there was a problem with two character dates and am proud to
say that I have NOT written a thing since '78 what won't work next week!
However, people greatly underestimate the seriousness of the Y2K
bug. After all, to fix the problem, a computer programmer needs to find a
date... and we all know the (un)likelihood of that happening! :)

(I had to throw that in to bring this whole thing into
perspective...sorry)
